62So many people spend hours in the gym trying to reshape their thighs. They try cardio machines, classes, wraps, and many other gimmicks that lead them to mediocre results.
My goal in the article is to simplify leg exercises and give you the top 3, most effective exercises I have used for years with my clients.

3 Exercises to Tone and Firm your Thighs
1. Squats are the number one, best exercise to reshape your thighs. There is not another exercise that helps strengthen your legs. Now, to clarify, squats are not just for power lifting men looking to get huge. Squatting is for everyone and is a fundamental movement pattern that everyone uses.
Here are a variety of different squats you can perform: body weight, jump squats, front squats, back squats, zercher squats, overhead squats, belt squats, 1.5 squats, breathing squats, hindu squats, split squats, 1 leg squats, pistol squats. By using a variety of different movements, you will avoid plateaus and overuse injuries.
2. Deadlifts are another incredible exercise to reshape your hips and legs. Commonly misunderstood, deadlifts can help people develop strength in their thighs, hips and lower backs. Because most people spend their lives in front of the computer and television, most people need to develop more range of motion and strength in their legs, hips and backs before trying to deadlift big weights. Start slow, get it right and then increase the intensity.
Here are a few deadlift variations: barbells deadlift, Romanian deadlift, snatch grip deadlift, sumo deadlift, single leg deadlift, dumbbell deadlift, deadlift off of a step, Romanian off of a step. Deadlifts are also a fundamental bending movement pattern that provide functional strength that we use at home, at work and during sport.
3. Lunges are the final group of thigh blasting exercises. Lunges can help build strength and balance out imbalances between your right and left legs. Most people have 1 leg that is stronger than the other and it is important to address these imbalances to ensure proper strength, function and range of motion throughout the ankles, knees, hips and back.
Lunges can be done in a variety of ways. You can try static lunges, forward stepping lunges, backward stepping lunges, lateral lunges, isometric lunges, Bulgarian split lunges, jumping lunges, hold dumbbells, barbells, kettle bells and many other variations. The key is to keep your body guessing and it will be forced to adapt to the constant changes that are presented.
