Newport Beach Personal Trainer Explains the Mental Side of Weightloss
66What keeps people from Losing Weight Successfully?
Lots of the things we are3 exposed to in the media talk about diets, exercise, supplements, surgeries, medications and other things that are just marketing ploys to get you to buy their particular product or service. After 12 years of training, I truly believe that the most important aspect of weight loss is having the right mindset before you ever start
You Need to Get Packed before you leave on Your Trip, right?
Most people plan their vacations, budget for their new house, test drive cars, do research on the best digital camera, but when they attempt to lose weight they fall right on their face. Why is that?
I think that most people fail, because they do not plan properly and get mentally prepared for the changes ahead.
I think the first thing to determine is where you are starting. If you are going on a road trip and are using a map, you have to know where you are, to determine the right road to reach your destination. Before you begin a weight loss program, take some measurements, body fat percentages, pictures and such to provide a baseline to track progress.
Number 2 involves what you want to change, how much, by when and why?
What, specifically are you looking to change? Be specific with the number, so that you can shoot for something. It is also important to set a deadline for your goal. Set a date as a finish line and be sure that your goal is realistic. Losing 50 lbs in one month is not healthy, but losing 50 lbs in 6 months is definitely something anyone can tackle. The last and most important aspect is why you want to change.
My most successful clients were very motivated. Some had weddings, others scared by disease, other were competitors striving to get back in the arena. The common denominator is that they all had some emotional reason that drove them to change and work hard. If you are looking to lose weight, it isn't always gonna be easy and you may not always feel like doing the necessary things, but if your motivation is greater than the pain of discipline, then you will increase your chances for success.
Then chop your big goal into bite size, pieces. Make little, attainable goals that you can hit consistently. That way you can sense progress and you know that you're on the right track. Weight loss is a challenge that you have to keep consistent with... make sure to keep the carrot in front of you and keep chargin ahead.
Lastly, write down 3 bad habits that you currently have that are contributing to your increased weight. What mistakes do you consistently make? You know what Im talking about....write em down. Next, write down three new, healthy habits to replace the bad ones. For example, if you drink soda everyday, try replacing it with ice tea or water...simple.
So, take some time, write down your goals. Be specific, write deadlines and most importantly uncover the reasons why you are looking to make a change. Find the emotional trigger that will keep you going, even when you have lost the emotion of starting. And make sure to become awaree of your bad habits, always looking to make better decisions.
It is not about perfection, but making better decisions. You will make mistakes along the way, but use them as learning experiences. Keep your goals in front of you and strive to become healthier each week.

Your hub is so superior. Another way of weightloss is excercising and dieting combined with acaiberry supplements. Other advantages of acaiberry are that it contains omega fatty acids. Omega fatty acids are found in fish oil and have been discovered over time to be good for you. These fatty acids are not stored in the body, instead it is used by the liver to kick start the body's mechanism and speed it up greatly. This enables the body to burn up calories hence losing weight.
